PCM 542 Hermeneutics 3 Credits
Textbook: An Introduction to Biblical Hermeneutics by Walter Kaiser & Moses Silva.
Line of Study: Prepare a teaching outline that prepares you to teach the topic of biblical hermeneutics.
PCM 543 Pastoral Theology 3 Credits
Textbook: And He Gave Pastors – Gospel Publishing House
Course study: The textbook lists 20 different topics that deal with pastoral theology. Choose five topics from the list and prepare an essay on each that you have selected.
PCM 544 Biblical Leadership 3 Credits
Course study: Prepare an outline that describes the leadership style of the old and New Testament leaders. Prepare a 4000 word thesis that describes your leadership style and areas you plan to emphasize as you lead the people God has given you to shepherd.
Include how biblical leadership skills apply to your personal as well as church family.
PCM 545 Healing & Miracles 3 Credits
1. Read Christ the Healer. Prepare an outline you can use to teach the doctrine of Divine Healing.
2. Read When Heaven invades Earth. Johnson states
a. “It is truly possible for human people to walk in the divine, and Christ came to show us the way. It is by discovering our true identity in Him that we can begin to move in the promises of God regarding the miraculous.”
3. Prepare an original teaching outline of the doctrine Johnson teaches and construct your view of the reality of walking in the miraculous as a lifestyle.
4. Research 10 testimonies of healings and miracles and authenticate their validity.
5. Participate in a ministry that prays for the sick and expects the miraculous for three months. Prepare a paper that documents your experience.

Course study: Prepare an original teaching outline that discusses what holiness is and why it is important, necessary, and where it begins. Prepare an original teaching outline that defines spiritual growth. Prepare an original teaching outline of the teachings and life experiences of the Puritans.
Prepare a 4000 word thesis on holiness, your experience in the pursuit of godliness and what you do to practice it. Be able to defend your conclusions, recognizing difficult areas and preparing a reasonable resolution that supports your conclusions.
BST 512 Ethics 3 Credits
Textbooks: Christian Ethics by Norman L. Geisler
Course study: Prepare eight bible based essays on the following topics: Abortion, Euthanasia, Homosexuality, Suicide, War, Capital Punishment, Marriage and Divorce, Biomedical Issues, Present opposing views and prepare a defense of your view. The length of your essay is not an issue, the content is what is important.
BST 709 Evangelical Theologians 3 Credits
Textbook: Handbook of Evangelical Theologians by Elwell
Line of Study: Select seven from the table of contents and write an essay about each one that describes their theology and ministry. Select the seven from different denominations.
Write a concluding essay describing your view of evangelicalism in this century and how it is similar or different from this period.

BST 511 Knowing the Holy Ghost 3 Credits
Course study: Prepare an original teaching outline on the doctrine of the Holy Spirit, His work, ministry, fruit, and gifts. Prepare an original teaching outline that will equip you to teach on the baptism with the Holy Spirit. Research and determine if it is the seal of the new covenant. Defend your position. Discuss the various views as to the evidence of having experienced the baptism in the Spirit and defend your view.
Prepare a 4000 word thesis on your experience with the Holy Spirit. Develop a conclusion as to your continued experience with Him and your view of its importance in your life. Research and prepare a paper on the seven Spirits of God in Isa. 11:2 and their relationship to the Holy Ghost. Be able to defend your conclusions, recognizing difficult areas and preparing a reasonable resolution that supports your conclusions.
