Introduction:
Minnesota Graduate School of Theology - North is an associate school of Minnesota Graduate School of Theology which is accredited by the Accrediting Commission International for Schools, Colleges and Theological Seminaries. The ACISCTS is an international accrediting commission which holds as its primary objective the encouragement and maintenance of sound scholarship and the highest academic achievement in the areas of private education from the lowest to the highest. Quality education is the goal at all times. This is an international accreditation society for preparation of quality education in private schools, colleges and theological seminaries.
Minnesota Graduate School of Theology has assumed a strict position of the separation of church and state, not wanting to have any governmental agency dictate to us what we may or may not teach. The Biblical standard is under great assault contemporarily, [for more details see ACISCTS web site www.accreditnow.com Answers to Critics]. We intend to maintain the highest standard of clarity and candor where virtue and biblical principles are concerned. The Minnesota Graduate School of Theology does not carry regional accreditation and is not registered with or in association with the U.S. Department of Education.
There are five types of accreditation:
CANDIDATE
PROVISIONAL ACCREDITATION & MEMBERSHIP
FULL ACCREDITATION & MEMBERSHIP
COMPREHENSIVE MEMBER
COMPREHENSIVE MEMBER WITH HONOR
This institution (MNGST) is a COMPREHENSIVE MEMBER WITH HONOR and has been accredited for ten years or more; has more than one program and has shown exceptional credibility. It has had at least two on site visits. [MNGST has had three]. The president must approve this level of accreditation annually.
For a more extensive listing of degrees, statement of faith, ordination, accreditation, portfolio assessment, graduations and affiliations I encourage you to access the seminary website at www.mngst.org.
All courses listed on www.mngst.org can be made available with this associate school. Our graduate program does not replace existing courses offered by MNGST. This course work is designed to compliment by adding graduate level course study that will appeal to the student that is interested in extensive preparation for full time missions, an in depth study of systematic theology or custom tailored course work for pastoral ministry.
